School Council

Our School Council is an important part of school life. It gives children a voice and a chance to help make decisions that improve our school for everyone.

👥 How It Works

Each class votes for two children to represent them at school council meetings. These representatives:

  • Attend school council meetings
  • Share the ideas and concerns of their classmates
  • Work with teachers and staff to plan projects and activities
  • Help make decisions that improve school life for all students
  • Assist with the recruitment process of staff in some cases

🎯 What the School Council Does

The school council is involved in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Sharing Student Ideas: Bringing suggestions from classmates to improve school routines, playgrounds, and learning spaces
  • Organising Events: Helping plan and run school events, fundraisers, and activities
  • Community Projects: Supporting initiatives that help the wider community
  • Making a Difference: Working on projects that make the school a happy, safe, and fun place for everyone

🌟 Why It Matters

Being part of the school council helps children:

  • Develop leadership and teamwork skills
  • Learn about responsibility and decision-making
  • Have a real voice in shaping their school
  • Take pride in making a difference for others

🗳️ Want to Be a School Councillor?

Each class holds elections so children can vote for their representatives. Councillors are encouraged to:

  • Listen to their classmates’ ideas and concerns
  • Bring enthusiasm and creativity to school council projects
  • Take part in meetings and help make positive changes

The school council is a fun and rewarding way for children to contribute to school life and make their school a better place for everyone!
